Hey there! I’m Darius.

I’m an illustrator and creative entrepreneur based in Massachusetts. I’ve had the pleasure of working on licensing art, box art, and concept art for Star Wars (Hasbro & LucasFilm), Indiana Jones (Hasbro & LucasFilm) Transformers (Hasbro), Sonic the Hedgehog (SEGA), Avatar: The Last Airbender (Paramount), Avatar: The Way of Water (Disney), and more. I’ve opened my own print store, serving the community with bespoke apparel. I also work freelance, specializing in book covers & illustrations, and have more recently returned to gallery art and traditional painting.

I graduated from Massachusetts College of Art & Design with Honors in 2022, earning my BFA in Fine Art (Illustration). Along the way I interned at Yellowfly, and was hired as an Illustrator right out of school. I cemented myself as a plucky, design-minded illustrator who excelled in patterns, licensing art, and portraiture.

I left Yellowfly in 2024 to found my own family store, Fish Sock. We specialized in the design & printing of garments for individuals, events, schools, and businesses. This let me wear a lot of hats - I took business classes, designed our logo & website, planned out our store layout and storefront, worked face-to-face with customers to bring their ideas to life, got hands-on with our printing press and embroidery machine, delivered local orders, and more.

I left Fish Sock in my family’s capable hands to shift my attention back towards creative pursuits. I’ve been doubling down on freelance and gallery work, excited to return to working as a full-time creative once again.
